The ski resort recently made some huge investments to upgrade the mountain:

• They put in a new gondola starting from the parking lot in town
• They also built a chairlift that drops you off at the top of Peak 8.  At 12,840 ft, the Imperial Express SuperChair is the highest chairlift in North America, which gives expert skiers and riders access to 400 acres of Breckenridge’s double black diamond terrain, previously reached only after a 45-minute hike. 
• Breckenridge ski resort has 30 chairlifts and 155 ski runs, of which 14% are allocated to beginners, 31% are more difficult, 19% are most difficult, and a whopping 36% of the trails at Breckenridge are for experts. 
• The mountain has a total of 2358 acres of terrain, with 600 acres groomed daily.  The bowls of Breckenridge cover 772 acres, and the resort now boasts 25 acres of terrain parks.

But these stats aren’t what keep visitors and locals returning to Breckenridge ski resort; it’s the great experience they have time and again, and hre are a few reasons why:
